GIVE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM THAT SPARKLE!

Hello my friend! It is so nice to meet ya again๐Ÿ˜Š

I know it's been a long while. Please forgive me for the break. Gosh I'm so stubborn. I hope you find a place in your heart to forgive me๐Ÿ˜ž. Awww thank you! I want to wish you a happy new month! May this month be your best month yet!

Our topic  is about our Immune System. Something we have all been looking for ways to take care of especially because of the COVID-19 issue ๐Ÿ˜’. Sit back and relax as we go on this journey of improving our immune system.

It is best to see the Immune System as an army that fights against things that are not welcome in our body. Those things that send us to the doctor and numerous drugs, those pathogens (microbes that cause disease).

Something we should know about our immune system is that it has its own memory. It learns each time it is exposed to a pathogen. That is why its not considered healthy when a child is kept so "secure" and shielded from illnesses. Getting sick is a natural part of building the immune system. Sounds strange but yeahh.

The cells in our immune system are the White Blood Cells, also the good bacteria or flora. They absorb nutrients and they ensure that there is no food or space for pathogens to thrive. The White blood cells make acid and secretes poison to kill pathogens. These White Blood Cells are the real MVPs, or what do you think?๐Ÿ˜„

Another great set of cells is the Phagocytes. These cells devour microbes, viruses, bacteria, molds, fungus and even dead cells. They are stimulated by gases. Apple Cider Vinegar and food-based vitamin C are good sources of acidity to enhance phagocytosis.

We have to be on guard to fight these pathogens. They are so so sneaky. They know how important vitamin D is in controlling the immune system, so they block vitamin D through the Vitamin D Receptors (V.D.R). Can you just imagine?! Bad Belle.

They mimic body tissues (werey dey disguise๐Ÿ˜‚ ) and they morph into different structures to confuse the immune system.

What WEAKENS the immune system?

  • Diets that are low in vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, amino acids and fatty acids
  • Stress
  • Insufficient sleep
  • Glucose
What STRENGTHENS the immune system?
  • Natural Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps in the production of more the MVPs ๐Ÿ˜‰(the white blood cells). Top examples are Green leafy vegetables, berries, red bell peppers, citrus fruits, saukraut

  • Vitamin D (which is not really a vitamin)
Helps in controlling the immune system and is also an immune modulator. It is difficult to get vitamin D from food so the main source is the sun☀️

  • Vitamin A
Provides structural integrity for mucosal cells. Examples are egg yolks, cod liver oil and butter.

  • Zinc
The most important trace mineral for the immune system. It is very protective against illnesses.

  • Garlic
Has high potency for destroying bacteria, viruses, yeasts, fungi, molds. Garlic is very effective for the immune system. You should try garlic.

Other good immune system builders include; ginger, yogurt (with live and active cultures), almond nuts, turmeric, green tea, papaya, kiwi, poultry, sunflower seed, avocado, shellfish and more.

There you have it my awesome reader!
